Initial Impressions vs. Evolving Taste: My Journey with Jeffrey Eisner's Sausage and Shells

I'm curious what your recipe was? What did you add/subtract? It doesn't look at all like mine does - but I follow Jefferys recipe.

It’s delicious! Things always taste better the next day or even a few days better. Do you not think Thanksgiving leftovers taste better the next few days? What’s the point of this post? You liked it right?

So you made a different recipe that also uses shells? This looks nothing like our beloved sausage and shells. I can understand that it’s not as good if you use different ingredients.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. Experimenting to suit your own tastes is great.
However the first time I make a new recipe that everyone is raving about, I don’t add or subtract ingredients because it drastically alters the taste that created the buzz in the first place.
Then the next time I tweak it to my liking.
For example, I now only use 1/2 the amount of sausage and double the artichokes. I don’t like a heavy garlic taste, so I use 1/2 the amount and chicken broth instead of garlic broth.
