Delicious Louisiana - Style Navy Beans with Sausage: Instant Pot Recipe

I’m originally from Louisiana and grew up eating navy beans with sausage. I hadn’t eaten it in years and was craving it something bad. I didn’t have a recipe so I just sort of winged it and it came out delicious.
Recipe:
Onion
Green bell pepper (2)
Celery (3 stalks)
Smoked sausage
Ham steak
Great Northern beans (1 pound)
Chicken stock (6 cups)
Liquid crab boil
Bay leaf
Cajun seasoning
In instant pot sauté chopped veggies until tender and onions translucent. Add sliced smoked sausage and chopped ham steak. Sauté until slightly browned. Add beans and 6 cups of chicken stock and bay leaf. Cook on high pressure for 1.5 hours with a quick release.
At this point your beans should be soft and you can mash them until the consistency is thick and creamy. Add 2.5 caps of liquid crab boil and seasonings to your liking. Discard bay leaf and serve over rice.

You can find it on Amazon if you can’t find it in stores. It provides flavor and spice. It’s concentrated so a little goes a long way.
