How to Cook Generic Lentils in an IP for a Creamy Texture Instead of Grainy

@mkher ok...if they are green or brown lentils they are thicker, "meatier" then red or yellow. So they will take longer to cook.
If you soak them in cool water after rinsing, for 15 minutes or so until a bit wrinkly then they will cook faster.

Do you have an Indian stores close by??? There are at least a dozen types of lentils-some cook fast(red), and some take forever ( Chana-big yellow).

@mkher there’s a bunch in Mobile and a bunch in Pensacola and at least three international grocery stores in your town. I’d be happy to direct you to those places if you direct message me.

I cook a few different kinds of lentils all the time. You should wash and soak them overnight then cook in the IP. Once the IP is done it’s thing, if you want more creamy, you must sauté them so the water evaporates more and maybe even crush them with your spatula.
