Instant Pot Sirloin Tip Roast: Red Wine Instead of Beef Broth – Need Advice!

Have any of you cooked a sirloin tip roast in the instant pot? I can’t use beef broth due to an ingredient allergy but do have red wine. I can’t decide whether the instant pot is the right choice here or if I should just go with the oven.

Thank you all for your help. I used the link posted in the comments and used red wine with rosemary and thyme. It's not for me so I don't know how it tastes but I think it's okay. I'll deliver it tomorrow. Thank you all for your assistance!

Sirloin tip roast is not very fatty so you don’t get pot roast Look at a rare roast beef recipe to see if that works for you I like how easy and tender this recipe makes dinner I cook mine medium rare

Take a look at this recipe. I just used it cook a prime rib but it recommend sirloin too. I did not have beef broth on hand so just used water and some cooking wine. It turned out great. https://www.pressurecookrecipes.com/instant-pot-roast-beef/

Worcestershire or any steak sauce will work, might vegetable stock be an option? If store bought stocks don’t work, make your own. I do that with bread

@truth_seekers Thank you for the suggestion. The meal is not for me and allergies require I avoid soy onion and garlic. So no Worcestershire. And no time to make my own. The suggestion above may work though.

I have but I used worchstershire sauce, some wine , water if needed if want can also add a little water..., garlic , onions I make my own stock also.

@lee how long do you cook it? I can’t use Worcestershire either but red wine (or balsamic) and spices.
