How to Make Bone Broth from Rotisserie Chicken: A Lesson Learned and a Success Story!

If you don’t have the time to make the bone broth right after you eat the meat, I often break the bones apart and put them in a ziplock and freeze them. Just dump them in the IP when ready. A turkey carcass will easily make 2-3 batches.

I love the grocery chickens. I eat chicken meat one night, something else chicken one night, make bone broth and get at least two more meals sometimes three. About a $1 per meal for the base.

Whenever we have chicken with bones, I save them and freeze. Then when I have about 2 gallon freezer bags full, I make a batch. Once slow cooked, strained, and chilled, it sets up like jello what with all that lovely collagen. I even save the skin that we don't eat. Also adds in more collagen. After chilled, just skim off the fat!

Two questions:
1. Bone broth recipe?
2. Has anyone done the thing where you drink the bone broth as a fasting type of thing for weight loss?
