Best Container Options for Making 1 Quart of Yogurt in an Instant Pot

I use jam and jelly jars. Double stack with loose lids with 1 cup of water in the liner. Set on yogurt for 11 to 12 hours, remove from pot, tighten lids, dry jars and put in the fridge.

I use 4 old spaghetti sauce jars… 4 holds the exact amount of Ripple I use for a batch of yogurt… and I can still close the lid with the vent open for the 12 hour incubation time. I love no cleanup after 😮)

@elsieba I don’t see why not. It’s not pressure cooking so most vessels should be safe. I use a trivet to keep the heat off the direct bottom though🙂

I make mine (with full fat milk) in a tall cylindrical stainless steel container I bought at The Container Store, uncovered, that barely fits in the IP heightwise and lets the lid close. Afterwards I put that in the fridge to really gel, then leave it there, lightly covered, spooning out whatever I need and sweetening and perhaps flavoring each serving.
