Instant Pot Models: Duo Plus 9-in-1 vs. Rio Wide Base 7-in-1 – What's the Difference?

I am so confused. I bought the new Instant Pot Duo Plus 9-1 with Cake and Sous Vide from QVC and the Rio Wide Base in some advertisements looks just like it. Most of the Rio’s are saying 7-1. The manual I received says Rio Plus so I called Instant Pot and they said they are sending me a new manual via email which I haven’t received yet. The Duo Plus has a dial and the others don’t. Does anyone have an explanation. Just don’t understand why mine says Duo Plus. Maybe Instant Pot jumped the gun.

If you have the Duo Plus, that's different than the Rio Wide. I'm not exactly sure what you have, you can show a picture. The Duo Plus is not the Rio Wide. There is also a regular Rio, that is not wide. https://www.instanthome.com/.../instant-pot-rio-6-quart...

It looks like QVC has it listed with the wrong name.

@abeazishar It's an error thru QVC and/or Instant Brands. You have the Rio Wide Plus/Rio Plus Wide.
Hopefully the plate/sticker on the back bottom has the correct name on it

@abeazishar beautiful pot. Do you have a pic of the other side? Sometimes it will tell you exactly what it is on the sticker in the back.

@abeazishar I believe the letters in your label stand for duo plus pressure cooker. But I can’t explain the difference or why it looks like the rio plus

@abeazishar yes… that matches the wide one and the manual that i added on here is the one that goes with this model. I can understand the confusion on what QVC called it vs what it actually is.
Instant pots have too many models. I cant even keep them straight any more.
I want one! Of these..
I have had a boatload of instant pots…. But this one…
The larger base for sautéing is worth it and love the grey and the style

@clarencethechristmasangel You’re so right. Instant Pot has so many models it’s almost impossible to keep up. I’m just glad this is finally settled. It’s the little things that drive me crazy.
