@pastorforest one thing I would add to the list, only if you agree since it’s your wonderful list, is to store the lid sitting on the pot seal side up. Or at least store it not resting on the seal. I think that helps greatly in allowing lingering seal odors to dissipate. It may also extend the life of the seal.

Put your smelly ring in the oven at 3:50 for a half an hour to an hour. Silicone needs heat to absorb odors and it needs heat to release odors. Try it, it works.
